Wash and dry the apples. Remove the stem and press a wooden stick into the top.
In a saucepan over medium-high heat, stir in together butter with brown sugar, corn syrup and sweetened condensed milk.
Bring to boil while stirring constantly. Reduce heat and keep the mixture until the food thermometer reaches 120°C.
Remove the caramel mixture from heat and transfer to another clean pot. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Allow to cool at room temperature until caramel sets. Refrigerate for 2 hours.
Dip the bottom of the apples in melted dark chocolate.
Decorate with nuts and sprinkles.
