For the dough:

  • 1 packet of active dry yeast
  • 1 cup of warm water (40-C)
  • 1 tin of NESTLÉ Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 2 Eggs, lightly beaten
  • 2 tablespoons of Vegetable oil
  • 4 cups of All purpose flour

For Filling:

  • 0.5 cup of Brown sugar
  • 1 cup of Walnuts
  • 3 teaspoons of cinnamon powder
  • 1/3 cup margarine, softened, 75 g

For the icing:

  • 4 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 cup of Powdered sugar
  • 0.5 cup of low fat cream cheese
  • 0.5 teaspoon of Vanilla extract
  1. Dissolve Yeast in Water and allow to sit for 10 minutes until foamy (Activated). Meanwhile, combine in mixer bowl ½ of the tin of Nestle Sweetened Condensed Milk with eggs, and add yeast mixture and Vegetable Oil on top.

  2. Mix on slow speed and gradually incorporate flour into the milk mixture. Knead dough until smooth, cover and allow to rest until dough is risen.

  3. Meanwhile prepare filling by combining the remaining ½ of Nestle Sweetened Condensed Milk, Brown Sugar, Walnuts and Cinnamon and mix until all ingredients are coated.

  4. Roll dough into a rectangle (30x20-cm) sheet about 1-cm thick, spread Walnut filling on top and roll the dough over itself along the longer side to form a 30-cm log. Cut the log into 3-cm wheels and place on a greased deep baking dish, allow about 2-cm between the rolls. Cover and allow to rest for another 30 minutes to rise further, about double in size.

  5. Meanwhile prepare icing by beating together all ingredients and keep at room temperature.

  6. Bake at a preheated oven at 180-c for 30 minutes or until puffed up and golden on top. Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly before drizzling icing over the cinnamon rolls.
