Combine butter, sugar, beaten egg and the vanilla in a large bowl. Add the flour, baking powder and oats to the mixture.
Press ½ the mixture into a greased 25cmx30cm baking dish and refrigerate to chill. Prepare the filling. In a separate, bowl knead the dates with butter, slowly adding the 1 tin NESTLÉ Sweetened Condensed Milk. Mix in the chopped nuts and chocolate and cinammon and vanilla.
Spread the date filling evenly over the base and then crumble the remainder on top to cover the date mixture. Place a few dabs of butter over the top crumble.
Bake in a 180 C preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown. Cool to room temperature.
Serving tip: After it firms up, serve the crumble with a delicious scoop of vanilla ice cream or fresh cream. Enjoy.
