To prepare the floating balls, cook ¾ the quantity of the sugar in the ½ cup of water until light brown in color. Whip the egg whites with the remaining sugar and the vanilla essence for 10 minutes. Pour the cooked sugar over the egg white mixture and keep beating with the mixer until stiff. Immediately, scoop out the mixture to form oval shape balls. Cook them in boiling water for 6-8 minutes until they get a firm texture.
To prepare the sauce, combine the NESTLÉ Sweetened Condensed Milk in a saucepan with the water. Whisk the egg yolks and sugar until well dissolved, then add them to the sweetened condensed milk mixture. Cook them together until viscous and smooth, and then refrigerate.
Pour the sauce into a transparent bowl, add the floating balls and garnish with the sliced almonds.
