Cream and Strawberries Tart Recipe

From the kitchen you will need

  • Nestlé® Sweetened Condensed Milk 397g 1 tin
  • Custard Powder 2 tablespoon
  • Egg Yolk 3
  • Vanilla Essence 1 teaspoon
  • Water (boiling) 500 ml
  • Butter (melted) 130 g
  • Tea Biscuits (crushed) 250 g
  • Strawberry Jam 200 g

Step by Step

  • Place Nestlé® Sweetened Condensed Milk, custard powder, egg yolk and vanilla essence in a large saucepan.
  • Stir all the ingredients with a whisk until well combined.

  • Gradually add the boiling water under constant stirring, bring to boil while stirring and simmer over low heat for 1-2 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and set aside to cool.

  • Combine butter and crushed biscuits in a bowl then press over the base and sides of a greased 26cm tart pan with a removable bottom.
  • Spread the strawberries jam over the base then pour the cooled cream mixture over the strawberry jam, smooth the top. Chill for 2-3 hours.
  • Garnish with fresh strawberries and serve.
