Pineapple Upside-Down Cake Recipe

From Nestlé® you will need

Nestle--Sweetened--397g

Nestlé® Sweetened Condensed Milk 397g

From the kitchen you will need

  • Nestlé® Sweetened Condensed Milk 397g 1 tin
  • Pineapple Slices (canned) 10 pieces
  • Eggs 2 pieces
  • Flour 210 g
  • Baking Powder 1 teaspoon
  • Butter (melted) 150 g
  • Pineapple Flavor Essence ½ teaspoon
  • Lemon Zest 1 piece
  • Sugar 150 g

Step by Step

  • Grease a 25cm round cake tin with butter and flour.
  • Place 6 pineapple slices on the bottom.

Step

  • Place the remaining 4 pineapple slices in a kitchen blender. Blend for 2 minutes or until puree.Remove and place in a large bowl.
  • Add eggs, flour, baking powder, butter, pineapple flavor essence, Nestlé® Sweetened Condensed Milk, lemon zest and sugar to the pineapple puree.
  • Mix well until smooth then pour the mixture into the prepared baking tin.

  • Bake in 175°C preheated oven for 55 minutes or until a skewer inserted in the middle comes out clean.
  • Tip: to melt butter, just place the butter in a medium saucepan, place over low heat until butter is melted. Do not allow to boil. Allow butter to cool before use.
