From the kitchen you will need

  • For the cake:
  • Nestlé® Sweetened Condensed Milk 397g 1 tin
  • Flour 1 ½ cups
  • Baking Powder 1 teaspoon
  • Cardamom (ground) ¾ teaspoon
  • Vanilla Powder 1 teaspoon
  • Cocoa Powder 3 tablespoons
  • Butter melted ¾ cup
  • Eggs 3 no.s
  • For the toffee topping:
  • Nestlé® Cream 170g 1 tin
  • Sugar ½ cup
  • Butter ¼ cup

  • Combine flour, baking powder, Nestlé® Sweetened Condensed Milk, cardamom, vanilla powder, cocoa, butter and eggs in a bowl of an electric mixer.
  • Beat on low speed until all ingredients are combined, then beat on medium speed for 4-5 minutes or until mixture is smooth and changes color.

  • Turn the mixture into a greased 25cm round baking tin and bake in 170°C preheated oven for 1 hour or until a skewer inserted comes out clean.
  • Turn out and leave to cool.

  • To prepare the toffee topping, stir the sugar over medium heat in a pan until it turns golden in color.
  • Stir in the butter and Nestlé® Cream and cook, stirring for 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat
  • Spread the toffee topping evenly on top of the cake and chill.
