From the kitchen you will need
- For the base:
- Toast Bread 8 slices
- For the kashta:
- Nestlé® Sweetened Condensed Milk 397g 1 tin
- Milk 4 cups
- Corn flour 1 cup
- Rose water 1 tablespoon
- Orange Blossom water 1 tablespoon
- For the syrup:
- Sugar 1 cup
- Water ⅓ cup
- Lemon Juice ½ teaspoon
- For the garnish:
- Pistachio (ground) ⅔ cup

Lay the toasted bread in a rectangular glass oven tray (optional: you can toast it in the oven until golden or use it soft).

Prepare the sugar syrup by adding the sugar, water and lemon juice in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir the mixture with a wooden spoon to dissolve the sugar.

Once boiling reduce heat and simmer for 7 - 8 minutes. Do not cover the saucepan.

Pour the sugar syrup over the toast. Melt the corn flour with 100ml cold milk bringing to boil the remaining milk with the Nestlé® Sweetened Condensed Milk.

Once the milk boils, add the corn flour mixture while whisking continuously.

Add rose water and blossom water.

Stir well until the mixture thickens.

Pour the custard over the toast and set aside to cool for 1 hour.

Sprinkle with the ground pistachios and refrigerate for 2 hours.
