Cinnamon Rolls Recipe

From Nestlé® you will need

nestle sweetened condensed milk can

Nestlé® Sweetened Condensed Milk 397g

From the kitchen you will need

  • For the dough:
  • Nestle® Sweetened Condensed Milk 397g 1 tin
  • Active Dry Yeast 1 packet
  • Water (warm/40 degrees C) 1 cup
  • Eggs (lightly beaten) 2 large
  • Vegetable Oil 2 tablespoons
  • Flour 4 cups
  • For the filling:
  • Brown Sugar ½ cup
  • Walnuts 1 cup
  • Cinnamon Powder 3 teaspoons
  • Margarine (softened) ½ cup
  • For the icing:
  • Butter 4 tablespoons
  • Sugar (powdered) 1 cup
  • Cream Cheese (low fat) ½ cup
  • Vanilla Extract ½ teaspoon

  • Dissolve yeast in water and allow to sit for 10 minutes until foamy or activated.
  • Meanwhile, combine half the tin of Nestlé® Sweetened Condensed Milk with eggs in a mixing bowl, then add yeast mixture & vegetable oil.

  • Mix at a low speed and gradually incorporate flour into the milk mixture to form a dough.
  • Knead dough until smooth, cover and allow to rest until dough rises.

  • Prepare filling by mixing the remaining half of Nestlé® Sweetened Condensed Milk, brown sugar, walnuts and cinnamon until all ingredients are coated.
  • Prepare icing by beating together the butter, powdered sugar, cream cheese and vanilla then set aside at room temperature.

  • Roll dough to form a rectangle about 30x20 cm in size and 1cm thick, spread walnut filling over it then roll the dough along its longer side to form a 30 cm log.
  • Cut the log into 3 cm wheels and place on a greased deep baking dish, allowing about 2 cm between each roll.
  • Cover and allow to rest for another 30 minutes to rise further and double in size.

  • Bake at 180 degrees C in a preheated oven for 30 minutes or until risen and golden on top.
  • Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before drizzling over the cinnamon rolls.
