Red Velvet Fudge

From Nestlé® you will need

Nestlé® Sweetened Condensed Milk 370g

From the kitchen you will need

  • 370g Nestlé® Sweetened Condensed Milk 1 tin
  • white chocolate, finely chopped (or chips) 500 g
  • unsalted butter 30 g
  • cocoa powder, sifted 1 Tbsp
  • pure vanilla extract 1 tsp
  • fine salt ½ tsp
  • Red food color 1½ tsp
  • Optional tang/lemon juice ½ tsp
  • Cream Cheese Swirl:
  • white chocolate 100 g
  • softened cream cheese 60 g
  • Nestlé® Sweetened Condensed Milk 2 Tbsp

Step by Step

  • Line a square pan with parchment Lightly butter or spray.

  • In a heavy saucepan on low heat, combine Nestlé® Sweetened Condensed Milk, butter, and white chocolate. Stir constantly until it melts. Remove from heat and keep stirring until smooth.

  • Stir in vanilla and salt. Sift in cocoa and mix until fully incorporated. Add red color a little at a time until a deep crimson is reached. If using, stir in lemon juice.

  • Scrape into the pan, smooth the top, and tap to release air. Chill uncovered 30 minutes, then cover and chill for at least 3–4 hours (best overnight) until firm.

  • Lift out using the parchment. Warm a knife under hot water, wipe dry, and cut into neat squares.

Cream Cheese Swirl:
  • Melt white chocolate. Whisk with softened cream cheese, and Nestlé® Sweetened Condensed Milk until smooth.
  • Dollop over the red fudge layer before setting.
